About the Game

Jellylight is our Ludum Dare 57 entry—a serene but eerie descent into the deep ocean. You play as a glowing jellyfish drifting downward into darkness, where your only lifeline is your light.

Collect bioluminescent krill to keep glowing, avoid hostile sea creatures, and illuminate the abyss as you fall deeper and deeper. Lose your light, and you’re lost to the dark forever.

Will you reach the mysterious glow waiting 100 meters below?

Gameplay

Objective: Reach a depth of 100 meters without your light fading out.
Challenge: Balance movement, light management, and survival while descending through increasingly dangerous waters.
Atmosphere: Calm, haunting, and tense—where visibility is survival.

Instructions

• Move: WASD or Arrow Keys to float freely

• Boost: Spacebar for a small directional boost

• Survive: Avoid predators, collect krill to stay lit, and descend carefully

Your goal? Reach 100 meters deep without running out of light.
